Easter Festivities Part 3: The Great Outdoor Egg Hunt

After church we took the kids outside for their very first Easter Egg Hunt. It was sure cold outside (the wind chill was bone-chilling!), but that didn't stop us! The kids loved it! Gray kept shouting "EGG!!" with eyebrows raised high and chocolate on his face, while Ella squealed with delight. Once all the eggs were collected, we gathered indoors to see what was inside the little plastic eggs. And what was inside the eggs you wonder? Stretchy rubber worm/snake toys (Grayson loves these things), jelly beans and peanut m&ms (more chocolate). We have to say that Easter egg hunts outside are so much fun! Ella talked about it much of the day. It was such a memorable day. We are so grateful for our family and for Jesus, who gave His life for us. We are truly blessed and forever grateful.

Easter Festivities Part 2: The Found Easter Baskets

On Easter Sunday the kids woke up with great anticipation in hopes to find their Easter baskets. Ella was so excited to find hers hiding behind the chair, and Grayson's eyebrow escalation revealed his excitement to discover his basket hiding behind the couch. We had such a wonderful morning. After the kids found their baskets and devoured some pre-breakfast chocolate, we all had breakfast together and went to the 8:30 service. After church, we went to the church cafe for a little fellowship and yummy snacks (made by the Fosters!). It was such a blast; but that's not all! (see Part 3 above).

Easter Festivities Part 1: The Egg Transformation

On the Saturday before Easter we all had the opportunity to color Easter eggs (this was the first year doing this with the kids). Over all it was a lot of fun!

Random Cute Moments

Here's some random photos that, in my opinion, are fun to look at. They're of the kids just playing. So much fun.

Duets

The kids love playing the piano together. They also love looking up at pictures of Gramma & Papa & Oma & Opa while they play. Too cute.

New Mercies in the Morning

It's so funny to see how different our kids can be. Every morning when the kids wake up and we make our way downstairs, Grayson books his way to his highchair and climbs up. The boy is ready to eat his breakfast! Ella, on the other hand, is usually more apt to take her time and sip her milk, and then contemplate her day with questions like "Mom. What we gonna do today? Where we gonna go? Who we gonna see?".

Peek-a-boo! Silly boy; I see you.

Things to do with Bowls

Yep. You read the title correctly. That's the mind of a two and a half year old. "Hey Mommy! Let's think of all the things we can do with these beaut-ee-foe bowls. Are you ready? Gray! Are you ready for the bowls game? Let's play! I am a big giant bug! I can see you now! Can you see me too? Look at my silly monkey ears! You sound pretty good. Yeah. These sound like tamb-reens." Aaaaa....it's days like these that make me smile with pure joy. I am grateful to be at home with these luttle munchkins!

Spring Forward

It's such a relief that winter has finally (well....technically) retired for the season. Spring in New England brings such joy for us; we especially are enjoying the longer and somewhat warmer days. It's great to be able to get outside and visit our favorite "Park by the Lake", as Ella calls it. What is so much fun this time around is that Grayson is finally able to run around; he was a hunk of burning love/bag of bricks/loaf of meat that was immobile the last time we visited the park back in October; Gray started walking in December, so now he can keep up with the rest of us.... or is it, that WE, as parents, are keeping up with them? Anyway, fun times are being savored by all!

Cooking with Ella

Ella often loves to help Mommy cook in the kitchen. Well, she had the opportunity to use the food processor and now is a forever fan of that miracle shredding/processing machine. Just take a look at her precious facial expressions! Too cute!
