Out with the Old, in with the New Old

Yes, it's Out with the Old, and in with the New Old. We officially traded in our 2006 Saturn Vue for the 2006 Honda Pilot. We needed the extra seating and cargo space that the Pilot offers to fit our growing family. What's cool is that we can fit 3 car seats next to each other in the second row, yet we still have the option of putting one or two of the kids in the third row if we need to. Ella is excited to sit in the middle "next to my two boys; my two baby brother boys". Yep, I guess we'll see how long that lasts. Our new car also came with a DVD player, which is an added bonus for those long roadtrips to Buffalo.

Blast from the Past

An old crony of Jeff's posted this picture of him on Facebook. Yes, I am crushing on my husband once again. Come on admit it, isn't he too cute? Sigh.

Quote of the Day

When asked what she would like to be when she grows up, Ella, not yet three years of age, simply replied: "A really nice person." Amen to that, sister.

Hello Summer......At Last!

Last Friday we had the opportunity to hang out at the beach all day with friends who have their own beach house. From morning until sunset we played at the beach, laughed with friends, ate good food, and enjoyed every minute of the beautiful New England scenery. Amazing. God is AWESOME. The kids (and us too, of course!) did not want to leave! On the way home we got to see lobster boats, cast against a brilliantly painted sunset sky, coming in from a hard day's work; we also passed by the local road-side restaurants overflowing with customers waiting to sink their teeth into some fresh lobster, crabcakes & corn on the cob; it was a picture one might see in a NE Yankee magazine, only it was real life, right before our eyes; windows down, the ocean breeze weaving in and out of our car, kids in the back giggling as the wind tickled their sun-kissed faces. Hello Summer, and goodnight moon.
