Well my friends, it's my favorite time of year again. Caramel apples, the sights, sounds & aroma of autumn are beginning to fill the air. And I am totally pumped. The only weird thing is that it's still hot and humid here, and tomorrow is October. So, needless to say, I am also pumped about retiring these stinky sandals and putting on a cozy fleece. However, warm weather is great too, and last night we took advantage of it. After dinner we frolicked in the yard, ate caramel apples and watched the sunset. Love this season.

Caramel Apples and Skyscapes
Well my friends, it's my favorite time of year again. Caramel apples, the sights, sounds & aroma of autumn are beginning to fill the air. And I am totally pumped. Ferry Boat Ride on the Hudson
Last Thursday we the opportunity to enjoy a ferry boat ride on the Hudson through West Point (friends who work there rented the boat for everyone in small group). We had such a blast meeting new friends, eating a delicious meal together, and enjoying the scenic views at sunset. Beautiful! The kids LOVED the ride and there were plenty of kids on the boat to play with. It was such an amazing and unforgettable evening!
The New Crib
The Only Thing
Well, we wake up every morning and say, "Wow! We live here?" The views; the sights; the sounds; the people; the community. And we are so grateful to Jesus, for blessing us beyond our wildest. The kids love running down the hill, doing some artwork in the gazebo studio and having their own space again (as do we!). We love this place; we love our home! Now, the only thing we need is Brett Long. Why Brett Long, you ask? Well, it's funny you asked, but there's word on the street that in 2006 Mr. Long shot himself a real live deer (said with a southern accent of course) using a M-16 machine gun special edition golden rifle bazooka launcher (I guess he needed a large artillery piece to make up for lack of precision? Either way, not bad for a legally blind man with rheumatoid arthritis in his trigger finger). Anyway, we have too many deer here. And the deer poop on our perdy green lawn. So we need us a Brett Long to come take care of things for us, if you know what I mean. Yep, you guessed it; we need him to come be our pooper-scooper boy. Thanks Brett.
We Made It!
The Funtastic Adventure (the Transition from NH to NY)
Well, yes, it's been ages since I've blogged but it has been a c-r-a-z-y few months. From saying goodbye to our good friends in NH to living in Buffalo for 4 weeks more than expected, to jumping through many fiery hoops of New York closing policies, to driving back to Orange County and unpacking and getting settled into our new dream home, life has been one crazy but fun ride. We were truly blessed to be able to stay with family and visit friends for those 6 weeks! Thanks especially to Uncle Jarrett, Grandma & Papa, and Oma & Oma for putting up with us and letting us stay with you! And thank you Uncle Justin, Aunt Jen & Olivia, and the sweet Long family, our dearest friends, for feeding us and taking care of us and rocking us in your arms and brushing & braiding our hair while we so impatiently waited for our closing date (BRISKET!!). For you, we are forever grateful! Okay, enough mashed per-taters. Enjoy some fun pics from our adventures. We had a blast getting together with everyone, going to Fantasy Island, Niagara Falls, our favorite Bflo hangouts, and breaking our bones. Yep; did I mention that I broke my toe . . . in half, and after returning from urgent care had to drive back THAT SAME DAY and take Ella to get a cast for her broken leg (poor sweetie broke her tibia!). Anyway, God is good. And in "all of my life; in every season, YOU are still God; and I have a reason to sing; I have a reason to worship" -Brooke Fraser (Hillsong). Enjoy the eye candy, yo.
