Ella's First Trip to the Dentist

Yesterday Ella went to the dentist for the very first time! She did an awesome job, seriously! And no cavities! (unlike her mother, who is more machine than woman when it comes to chompers). Great job kiddo! They were so pleased with her "still & patient performance" that she was rewarded with a "diamond ring", a new pink toothbrush, and a blue sugarless (of course, seeing that it was provided by the dentist) lollipop. Ella's take on her visit: "I like going to the dentist!" Hooray! Because Mommy hates going.

Still Trying

Well, we're still trying, but it's not easy AT ALL. Trying what, you ask? Well, you probably could guess by the cool briefs the little man is wearing. We're trying to potty-train Gray, but really, it's on his terms. Suddenly he wants to wear big boy undies, but then suddenly likes to pee everywhere and drop a deuce in his undies and then go down the slide. Awesome. The pictures below are round two with clean drawers....plus, he wanted to show off his muscles. We love you Gray!

5 Months Old and Already Wants Steak

Steak? Well, not quite. But this month I started Gavin on cereal; I had to. The boy was reaching for my plate and all of the contents on it (and nobody touches Mama's steak), plus he was waking up too many times at night wanting to eat. So, the baby is now turning into a little human with each new bite :-( Seriously though, we're going slow, but he likes it. Gray thinks that it would be fun if he, Gav & Daddy could have a cereal race. Gray said that he would win, but he would say to Gavin & Daddy, "Good job anyway....Boooka." (Gray's term for.... sucker?)

Easter Morning, 2010

Happy Easter! When asked what Easter is really about, Ella replied, "It's about how Jesus loves us and died for us, and don't forget Mommy......He rOse again." And Gray replied, "It about blue and purple eggs". Well done kiddos. Gray's response came after our annual Easter egg hunt, so I guess that makes some real sense, little guy! We ended up having a very enjoyable day. It was so warm outside too! We woke up early and the kids searched for their baskets. See for yourself how egg-sited they were! After church we had an egg hunt; what a blast! Inside the eggs were candy, coins, and stickers. Ella & Gray did a good job finding their eggs and sharing their little treasures! Gavin did a good job drooling and cuddling. We played all day and for dinner enjoyed a yummy ham with sweet potatoes & corn. While I prepped the meal, Ella danced for Gavin (he loves watching her) and Daddy & Gray played cars. We are grateful for our family and for what Jesus did for us; thank you Lord!

More Family Time in March

March proved to be a fun month. A few days after Grandma & Papa left (poor Ella cried when they left) we were blessed with the arrival of Uncle Justin, Aunt Jen & cousin Olivia! It was awesome spending time with them and getting to know our baby niece. It was also the first time that they met baby Gavin! It was so funny to watch the kids play with their little cousin. Gray loved touching Olivia's bald head and Ella loved cuddling her. We had a blast with the Mocks and look forward to getting together again! We love you guys!

March Fun with Grandma & Papa

In mid-March we were so happy to have Grandma & Papa come visit us. Though it rained the entire time, it was so much fun just spending time together; the kids really loved playing chase with G & P, reading & telling stories, and just cuddling together. We miss you Grandma & Papa!
