I passed!

Because I failed my one hour glucose test, I had to take the pain-staking 3 hour test the following week (they made me drink a pretty gross orange drink, and then test my blood four times in three hours.....good times). What does that mean, you ask? It means that I don't have the diabetes. It means that mama can treat baby to a little ice cream on a hot summer's night! Hurray for a hard-working pancreas (I knew you had it in you, you old, fleshy organ you!).

Who's the Older One?

The other night Ella & Gray were being "lovey-dovey" at the dinner table, so I ran to get my camera only to steal this shot. Doesn't Grayson almost look like he's the older brother here? Too much fun.

Best Buddies, Great Memories.

Last weekend our best buddies, "the Burrs", visited us for a few days. It was so much fun to have them here! We had an awesome time hanging out, going to the ocean, eating fresh seafood @ a local seafood restaurant, exploring the artsy town of Portsmouth, and going kayaking together. Jeff & Bert even had the opportunity to go trout fishing in the early morn for a few hours (thanks for lunch, by the way!) Why oh why did they have to leave? Why did they tease us with their presence that seemed to last mere hours, only to torment us with their departure? Why Sara Burr? Why Pastor Jerry? We miss you guys! It was so much fun to watch the kids play together. Ella & Mac were little buddies and Gray just loved having two more boys around to play with. Ella also loved having baby Brenna here, and she loved making her laugh. Dear Pastor Jerry and Ms. Burr, please come back in the Fall to witness the beautiful foliage, and to once again play with your dear friends.

Enjoying the Juicy

Nothing says "summer" like a refreshing, juicy watermelon; nothing says "more laundry" like a refreshing, juicy watermelon.

The Joys of Bubbles

This August we had some hot summer nights, which beckoned us to play by the waterside lake shores in hopes to catch a breeze of some sort. The lake by our home offers a fun little park where families could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the serene lake peppered with gorgeous sailboats; we so wish we could borrow one of those babies and enjoy an evening on the water sailing. However, blowing bubbles and watching the kids chase them, was the next best thing. We love bubbles. Hurray for bubbles!
