Celebrating the 4th with Grandma & Papa

We were blessed to have Papa & Grandma join us to celebrate the Fourth of July this year at our home in NE. We can hardly believe it's been almost a year since we've moved here from Buffalo; how time never lands! It was so much fun having them here! We played on the Slip 'N Slide, rode Gray's new bike, danced, played and laughed a lot. On Independence Day we went to the beach (poor Grandma hasn't seen the ocean since her honeymoon, which was many moons ago). The beach was crowded (after weeks of rain, Saturday was the first nice day..... and it was a national holiday, so I guess everyone was anxious to feel the sand under their feet)! We also had the opportunity to take Papa & Grandma kayaking on the lake by our house. They did AWESOME!! We especially were proud of Grandma, who usually isn't up for an outdoor adventure; once she got out there, it was hard to reel her in! So much fun!
